Fils du célèbre chanteur Thione Ballago Seck, Wally Seck était destiné à devenir footballeur professionnel, mais a finalement embrassé avec succès la carrière de musicien. Après avoir tenté sa chance en France et en Angleterre pour trouver un club de foot, il part faire un test à la Primevera du Milan AC, en Italie. Sans succès… Suite à cet échec, Wally Seck rentre au bercail sur les conseils de son père et intègre en qualité de chanteur le groupe paternel, Raam Daan.

Par le suite, Wally Seck se lance dans une carrière solo, souvent accompagné de la formation Raam Daan. Fin 2007, il sort son premier single, "Bo dioudo" ("à la naissance" en wolof), suivi, en 2009, de l’album "Voglio" ("je veux" ou "je voudrais" en italien) où il propose un mbalax-fusion et des textes porteurs, véritables chroniques sociales de la vie sénégalaise.
